About the Role:

The Manager, HR Operations serves as the operational and cultural backbone of our company—leading end-to-end People Operations, employee relations, multi-entity compliance, physical facility management, and strategic executive projects. Reporting directly to senior leadership, this high-impact role balances high-touch human support with AI-powered process automation to drive an exceptional employee experience across our US and India teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead onboarding/offboarding workflows, state-specific employment agreements, and cross-border policy alignment between US operations and our India entity.
  • Enforce compliance across all US operating states (leave laws, state handbook updates, mandatory training, ADA accommodations) and manage annual ACA tracking and Form 5500 filings.
  • Administer benefits and 401(k) programs, collaborate with benefits brokers during Open Enrollment, and partner with Finance on accurate payroll inputs.
  • Serve as a trusted, accessible, and empathetic point of contact for employees across all levels. Identify potential workplace issues early, conduct fair and discreet workplace reviews, and proactively resolve conflicts before they escalate.
  • Drive employee recognition programs, wellness campaigns, team events, and continuous feedback channels across teams.
  • Administer HRIS platforms (e.g., Rippling) and actively leverage AI tools to streamline administrative workflows, document generation, and people analytics.
  • Partner with IT to manage hardware provisioning, asset tracking, and device recovery upon offboarding.
  • Lead HR evidence collection, policy maintenance, and verification reporting for annual SOC 2 Type II audits.
  • Oversee daily headquarters operations, facility maintenance, building management relationships, physical access controls, and office vendor management.
  • Plan and execute priority cross-functional projects assigned by senior management, delivering structured updates and measurable outcomes.
  • Bridge operational and cultural connections between US HQ and India-based teams to ensure consistent communication and shared culture.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 6+ years of progressive experience in HR Operations, Employee Relations, and Facilities/Office Management within a fast-growing tech or SaaS environment.
  • High emotional intelligence (EQ) with a demonstrated ability to talk to employees at all levels, handle sensitive discussions with discretion, and resolve issues proactively.
  • Experience navigating multi-state US compliance while collaborating directly with international subsidiary entities (specifically US–India cross-geography teams).
  • High proficiency with modern HRIS platforms (e.g., Rippling), productivity tools (Google Workspace, Slack, DocuSign), and practical experience leveraging AI tools to optimize HR workflows.
  • Proven track record of managing physical office facilities, vendor relationships, and delivering projects assigned by executive leadership.
  • Hands-on experience leading HR evidence collection for SOC 2 audits, handling ADA requests, and managing state/federal leave programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
