Job description

We are looking for a Human Resources (HR) Manager to join a wholesale distribution organization on a Contract basis. This contract opportunity is ideal for an HR specialist who can balance day-to-day people operations with recruiting support and payroll coordination. The person in this role will help keep HR processes organized, support a positive employee experience, and provide steady coverage while the company searches for a long-term addition.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate employee onboarding activities to ensure new hires are prepared, documented, and set up for a smooth start.
• Manage recruitment support by creating and maintaining job advertisements, reviewing candidate flow, and helping move applicants through the hiring process.
• Assist with payroll administration by gathering, verifying, and processing employee information needed for accurate pay handling.
• Serve as a resource for routine HR administration, including employee records, standard documentation, and general policy-related support.
• Help address employee relations matters by responding to questions, escalating concerns when needed, and promoting consistent HR practices.
• Support benefits-related tasks such as enrollment coordination, employee communication, and maintenance of HR records tied to coverage changes.
• Partner with internal teams to keep hiring and personnel activities on schedule during this interim assignment.• Prior experience in a Human Resources Manager or senior HR generalist capacity.
• Working knowledge of payroll processes and the ability to support accurate, timely payroll activities.
• Hands-on experience with recruiting coordination, job posting management, and onboarding administration.
• Familiarity with employee relations practices and day-to-day HR operations.
• Experience assisting with benefits administration and related employee support.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and a detail-oriented approach to handling confidential information.
