Job description

As an HR associate, you will learn from Empowered Hospitality HR consultants and directors and support Empowered Hospitality clients through the detail-oriented execution of a broad range of administrative tasks. As an associate, you will be responsible for onboarding and offboarding, recruiting, administering benefits, auditing documents, handling claims, conducting research and supporting our discovery and client onboarding processes. You must also bring tireless curiosity, exceptional attention to detail and unblemished professional ethics and integrity to our firm.

Responsibilities

  • HR administration, including:
    • Job posting, candidate screening and interview coordination
    • Onboarding and off-boarding
    • Employee document filing and organization
    • Auditing
    • Crafting job descriptions, employee handbooks, and other core HR documents
    • Administering benefits enrollments and terminations
    • Processing payroll
    • HRIS management
  • Preparing training materials, presentations and other client deliverables
  • Supporting reporting and analysis utilizing various HRIS systems, Excel, and other tools
  • Conducting research on various topics related to regulatory compliance
  • Preparing comparative analyses of benefit programs, HRIS software, ATS, etc.
  • Taking detailed notes during client meetings
  • Organizing E|H's document storage, systems and tools
  • Performing other tasks as directed by E|H principal, directors or consultants

Experience & Education

  • 2+ years' experience in HR or business administration
  • Demonstrated success managing a high volume of time-sensitive administrative tasks
  • Familiarity with hospitality work environment
  • Strong MS office skills, business communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English; proficiency in written and spoken Spanish preferred
  • Bachelor's degree required; human resources, business administration, or related field preferred
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, PMP, or other related certification preferred
