A grill chef, or grill cook, specializes in preparing foods on a grill or grill station. You are responsible for grilling a variety of meat dishes, although you can use the grill to prepare other kinds of food. Your job duties include seasoning the meats, making sure the grill is in proper working order, and following safety standards for working with open flames. The qualifications for this career include a high school diploma at a minimum, along with experience and skills for working in a kitchen or on a grill station.
