Job description

The Media Finance & Gift Processing Coordinator supports all day-to-day financial operations of the Met's media programs and donor gift processing. This role reports to the Director of Media Finance & Gift Processing and is ideal for someone who enjoys working with financial data, ensuring accuracy, and collaborating across teams in a fast-paced environment.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Process all Media transactions, including billings and cash receipts, invoices and cash expenditures, and journal entries in a timely manner
  • Review media contracts and agreements to validate billing and terms
  • Support ticket sales data collection from international and domestic distribution partners for The Met: Live in HD
  • Support weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting on media program revenues and expenses
  • Aid in assembling accurate and timely royalty and publishing statements
  • Support year-end revenue sharing process, gathering supporting documents and auditing data and calculations for accuracy
  • Coordinate with other members of Finance on matters including but not limited to media forecasts, projections, reporting, monthly and year-end closes, etc.
  • Process donor gift transactions in Tessitura, ensuring accurate recording according to restriction and recognition requirements
  • Partner with Development to ensure accurate and timely reporting on contributions
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency

Skills and Qualifications
  • College dress, major in accounting or finance preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in finance, accounting, revenue operations, or gift processing
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups/formulas)
  • Working knowledge of VBA macros and Access a plus
  • Experience with CRM software and/or Tessitura a plus
  • High attention to detail with strong organization skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset

$55,000 - $65,000 a year
