How much do executive leasing jobs pay per hour?

As of Jul 11, 2026, the average hourly pay for executive leasing in the United States is $17.59, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $15.87 and $18.75 per hour, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What jobs pay $500,000 a year in the US?

Executive leasing roles, such as high-level real estate or property management executives, can reach or exceed $500,000 annually through base salary, commissions, and bonuses. These positions often require extensive experience, strong negotiation skills, and a network of high-net-worth clients or properties. Other high-paying jobs in the US include specialized medical professionals, corporate executives, and certain investment roles, but executive leasing is less common at this income level without significant experience and performance-based incentives.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Executive Leasing professional, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Executive Leasing professional, you need a solid understanding of real estate markets, leasing negotiations, and strong financial acumen, often supported by a degree in business, real estate, or a related field. Familiarity with property management software, CRM systems, and lease administration tools is typically required. Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving abilities set top performers apart in this role. These skills are crucial for securing high-value tenants, maximizing occupancy, and driving revenue growth in competitive real estate environments.

What is the role of leasing executive?

A leasing executive is responsible for marketing and leasing properties to prospective tenants, conducting property tours, processing rental applications, and negotiating lease agreements. They often use property management software and need strong communication and sales skills to meet occupancy targets.

What is the difference between Executive Leasing vs Leasing Agent?

AspectExecutive LeasingLeasing Agent
CredentialsReal estate license, sales experience, possibly advanced certificationsReal estate license typically required
Work EnvironmentHigh-end property management, corporate leasing, luxury marketsResidential or commercial leasing, property management offices
Employer & IndustryReal estate firms, property management companies, luxury developersReal estate brokerages, property management firms
Search & Comparison IntentUnderstanding roles in luxury or corporate leasingFinding leasing opportunities or agents for rental properties

Executive Leasing professionals focus on high-end, corporate, or luxury property markets, often handling complex transactions and client relationships. Leasing Agents typically work with residential or commercial properties, assisting tenants and landlords with rental agreements. While both roles require real estate licensing, Executive Leasing roles often demand additional experience and cater to a more upscale clientele. The choice depends on the property type and level of client engagement desired.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals in Executive Leasing, and how can they be effectively managed?

Professionals in Executive Leasing often encounter challenges such as balancing the needs of high-profile clients, managing tight timelines for securing suitable properties, and navigating complex negotiations between tenants and property owners. Success in this role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to build and maintain relationships with corporate clients and real estate partners. Staying organized, being proactive in addressing potential issues, and keeping up-to-date with market trends can help professionals effectively manage these challenges and deliver exceptional service.

What is Executive Leasing?

Executive leasing refers to the process of providing high-end rental properties or vehicles to business executives, often for short- to medium-term assignments or relocations. This service is designed to meet the unique needs of professionals who require premium accommodations or transportation, offering flexibility, convenience, and a range of amenities. Executive leasing can include fully furnished apartments, luxury homes, or top-tier vehicles, and typically involves personalized support and concierge services. It is commonly used by corporations for employees who are relocating, on temporary assignment, or require upscale living arrangements for business purposes.

Will AI replace leasing agents?

AI technology is increasingly used to automate tasks such as screening applicants, managing listings, and handling routine inquiries in leasing. However, leasing agents play a key role in building relationships, providing personalized service, and negotiating lease terms, which are difficult for AI to fully replicate. Therefore, while AI can augment leasing processes, it is unlikely to completely replace leasing agents in the near future.

Where do leasing agents make the most money?

Leasing agents tend to earn higher salaries in regions with a high cost of living and competitive real estate markets, such as major metropolitan areas. Income can also increase with experience, strong sales skills, and certifications like Certified Leasing Specialist (CLS).

A day in this role

Your focus is winning and growing accounts across the Dallas market for fleet equipment leasing and direct trailer sales. • Competitive base salary + commission (leasing and trailer sales incentives)
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
