Job description

Description

The Marina Leasing & Sales Executive is a revenue-producing sales role responsible for leasing available wet slips at Nautical Ventures Dania Beach and building recurring 6- and 12-month dockage revenue. This is a sales and business-development position, not an administrative or clerical role. The ideal candidate is a proactive closer with marine-industry experience and an existing South Florida network of boat owners, captains, brokers, and dealers, who will prospect daily, run tours, and directly ask for the deposit and signed lease agreement on every qualified opportunity.

Responsibilities:

Prospect for new marina leasing business daily through outbound calls, texts, referrals, and in-person networking.

Respond to every qualified marina lead.

Conduct marina tours for prospective tenants and clearly communicate the marina's value proposition.

Directly ask for and secure deposits and signed lease agreements; do not let qualified leads go cold.

Develop and maintain relationships with boat owners, captains, brokers, dealerships, and marine-industry professionals.

Build and manage a referral network across the South Florida boating community.

Drive slip occupancy toward and beyond 90%, while protecting published rate integrity - no undisclosed discounting.

Handle prospect objections and negotiate lease terms within approved pricing guidelines.

Track and report weekly sales activity: leads generated, response time, tours conducted, deposits collected, signed leases, occupancy, average realized rate per foot, average lease duration, and lead-to-lease conversion.

Identify opportunities to generate additional service revenue from marina customers.

Coordinate with marina operations, dockmasters, and service teams to ensure a smooth tenant onboarding experience.

Represent Nautical Ventures at marine-industry events, boat shows, and networking functions as needed.

Maintain accurate records of leads, prospects, and leases in the company's CRM or tracking system.

Requirements

Demonstrated success in a sales or closing role, ideally within the marine industry.

Experience in one or more of the following: marina leasing/sales, yacht or boat sales, yacht brokerage, boat storage sales, marine service advising, charter sales, or dockmaster/assistant dockmaster with proven sales results.

Established network within the Fort Lauderdale / Dania Beach boating community, including boat owners, captains, brokers, dealerships, and marine professionals.

Strong prospecting, discovery, objection-handling, and closing skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and customer-focused approach.

Comfortable working with pricing guidelines and holding rate integrity while negotiating.

Ability to work a variable schedule, including weekends and holidays, based on marina activity.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Proficiency with CRM systems, email, and basic office software.

Compensation:

Base salary of approximately $65,000, plus uncapped commission on new leases:

New 12-month lease: $1,000 commission

New 6-month lease: $600 commission

New 3-month lease: $300 commission

New 1-month lease: $100 commission

Occupancy bonus: $5,000 upon reaching 90% occupancy

Occupancy bonus: additional $5,000 upon reaching 95% occupancy

Employee referral bonus: $1,000 for referring a candidate who is subsequently hired

Commissions are earned once the required lease agreement is executed and the customer's payment or deposit has cleared, subject to standard protections for immediate cancellations or defaults.

Benefits:

  • Health, dental, vision, and life insurance
  • Employee discount
  • Paid time off
  • 401k plan

Position Type:

This is a full-time position with variable hours, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate marina operations.
