What does a leasing coordinator do?

A Leasing Coordinator is responsible for managing the administrative and communication tasks involved in leasing properties. This includes coordinating property showings, processing applications, preparing lease agreements, and acting as a liaison between property owners, tenants, and property managers. Leasing Coordinators work closely with property managers and leasing agents by acting as a central point of communication for prospective tenants, scheduling property tours, processing applications, and ensuring all required documentation is completed. This collaborative environment requires strong organizational and interpersonal skills, as the Leasing Coordinator helps keep the leasing process running smoothly and ensures a positive experience for both tenants and the property team.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a leasing coordinator?

To thrive as a Leasing Coordinator, you need strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a background in property management or real estate, often supported by a high school diploma or relevant certification.
