Job description

Position: Senior Entry Writer

This position is responsible for preparing customs entries using customer documents and carrier information. The candidate will ensure customs entries are filed in a timely and accurate manner. They are also responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound international air and ocean shipments, and communicating with customers, carriers, and US Customs. Above all else, attention to detail is a must for any candidate interested in applying for this position.

Responsibilities:

· Prepare and transmit customs entries and PGA data in a timely and accurate manner

· Work with CBP officers to troubleshoot and resolve any entry issues

· Stay up to date with the latest customs rules and regulations

· Develop and maintain both new and existing customer relationships, promoting the company's services

· Work with international freight team to ensure smooth turnover and clearance process

· Run both internal and customer specific reports from ABI system as needed

· Audit documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with CBP rules and regulations

This list of responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties as deemed necessary from time to time.

Experience:

· Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Customs Brokerage/Compliance/

· Excellent problem solver with a proven track record of driving results

· Must have experience working with a CBP Approved ABI Software

· Must have an experienced understanding of USHTS and other US Customs procedures
