Position Overview
Our client, a leading energy and electric utility company, is seeking an Entry-Level Project Controls Coordinator to support project managers and project teams with cost tracking, forecasting, scheduling, reporting, and project coordination activities.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to start a career in project controls, project management, construction management, business, engineering, or related fields. No industry experience is required for candidates with a qualified degree.
Candidates with limited experience (such as approximately one year working with EcoSys, Primavera P6, Cognos, project controls, scheduling, or cost tracking) may qualify for higher compensation within the pay range.
Compensation
  • $28/hour: Qualified Associate's or Bachelor's degree with little to no professional experience
  • Up to $31/hour: Candidates with relevant experience in project controls, scheduling, reporting tools (EcoSys, Cognos, Primavera P6), budgeting, forecasting, or related functions

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate project meetings and support ongoing project activities.
  • Assist Project Managers with project planning, documentation, and reporting.
  • Track project costs, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow.
  • Analyze budget variances and assist with cost reporting.
  • Support project schedule development and maintenance using Primavera P6 and Smartsheet.
  • Create and maintain project breakdown structures and baseline budgets.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost, schedule, forecasting, and project performance.
  • Assist with work order creation, tracking, and closeout activities.
  • Support contractor and vendor coordination as needed.
  • Communicate project updates with internal stakeholders, vendors, and project teams.
  • Perform reporting, data analysis, and project documentation activities.
  • Help maintain project records and ensure data accuracy.
  • Support project management best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
