We are looking for an entry-level Help Desk Analyst to join an education-focused organization in Kalamazoo, Michigan on a Contract basis. This opportunity is ideal for someone with foundational technical skills who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting and supporting end users with device-related needs. The role centers on preparing, replacing, and updating workstation equipment while helping maintain a smooth experience for staff and students.
Responsibilities:
โข Provide first-line technical assistance for desktop, software, and hardware issues encountered by end users.
โข Support device replacement activities by setting up, exchanging, and verifying equipment for daily use.
โข Perform equipment refresh tasks, including uninstalling older workstations and preparing updated devices for deployment.
โข Troubleshoot basic problems involving PCs, desktops, and related software to restore functionality quickly.
โข Assist with Chromebook setup, support, and issue resolution when assigned.
โข Track completed work accurately and communicate status updates to the appropriate team members.
โข Test devices after installation or repair to confirm they are functioning properly before handoff.
โข Maintain an organized work area and handle technology assets carefully during support and deployment activities.โข Basic understanding of computer hardware, desktop systems, and common software applications.
โข Ability to diagnose and resolve entry-level technical issues with patience and attention to detail.
โข Familiarity with technical support practices in a help desk or end-user support environment.
โข Experience working with PCs, workstations, or desktop equipment in a work or academic setting.
โข Exposure to Chromebook devices is strongly preferred.
