Job description

Based in Milan, TN, we are a dynamic high-growth organization with $200M+ in revenue operating across a diverse portfolio of industries. Known for its client-focused approach collaborative culture and commitment to delivering practical results, the organization is expanding and seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead accounting operations across a complex multi-entity environment. This role is ideal for a seasoned accounting professional who values operational impact cross-functional partnership and long-term professional stability within a supportive firm environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day accounting operations across 30+ entities including owning the monthly close process reviewing journal entries and ensuring timely accurate and complete financial reporting with accuracy and efficiency
  • Oversee and perform balance sheet reconciliations implement strong internal controls and identify and resolve discrepancies to ensure audit readiness and US GAAP compliance
  • Build mentor and develop a high-performing accounting team while establishing and enforcing standardized accounting processes policies and procedures across all entities
  • Partner with the VP of Finance and FP&A team to ensure financial data supports forecasting and decision-making while supporting integration and standardization efforts across newly acquired or expanding entities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required. A CPA CMA and/or MBA is a bonus!
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience in a multi-entity fast-paced environment with demonstrated experience managing month-end close external audits and balance sheet integrity
  • Strong organizational communication and time management skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced high-volume environment
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel required; experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools and exposure to multiple industries.
