  • POSITION SUMMARY

Lauren is seeking a Document Controller to join our growing team in Calgary.

This role is responsible for supporting engineering and project teams by maintaining accurate, controlled, and traceable project documentation in accordance with Lauren and client standards.

This opportunity is well-suited for someone with 2+ years of experience in document control, administrative support, project support, or related roles who is eager to learn, grow, and build a long-term career at Lauren. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and brings a positive, team-first attitude. They enjoy supporting others, take ownership of their work, and are excited to learn engineering document control processes in a fast-paced project environment


  • DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage engineering and vendor documentation throughout the full project lifecycle
  • Maintain document control systems, ensuring compliance with internal and client procedures
  • Log, track, and distribute internal engineering documents, drawings, and deliverables
  • Coordinate receipt, review, and distribution of vendor documents and transmittals
  • Ensure proper document numbering, revision control, and version tracking
  • Administer document workflows, including approvals, sign-offs, and document status updates
  • Maintain structured and accurate document repositories (SharePoint, internal systems, network drives)
  • Generate and maintain document control logs, registers, and reporting for project teams
  • Support project close-out and archiving documentation in accordance with requirements
  • Work closely with Engineering and Project Delivery teams to ensure document control best practices are followed

  • QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Administration/Business Administration plus 2 years of experience in a related field or equivalent combination of years of experience, training, and education in Administration.
  • Experience working in the energy industry in an engineering company is an asset.
  • Experience managing engineering drawings and technical documentation is preferred.

SKILLS

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (formatting, document tracking, and data organization)
  • Experience using SharePoint or similar document management systems
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in document handling
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

KNOWLEDGE

  • Understanding of document control principles, including revision control, versioning, and document lifecycle management
  • Familiarity with engineering documentation and drawing processes
  • Knowledge of document management systems and digital records management practices
  • Awareness of project deliverable workflows and transmittal processes

ABILITIES

  • Ability to manage multiple documents and deadlines simultaneously in a project environment
