Job description

North Star Sheets, an affiliate of Schwarz Partners, and corrugated manufacturing industry leader currently has an exciting opportunity available for a Customer Service Account Manager in Cottage Grove, MN. The Customer Service Account Manager is responsible for building long-term relationships with customers by providing product and service information, and by resolving issues in a timely manner. This position will work closely with the sales, accounting, CSR's and manufacturing personnel to meet customer needs.
ESSENTIALS JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION:
  • Oversee assigned customer accounts and respond to emails in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for processing orders (electronic and manual), receive, change or cancel customer purchase orders in a timely manner.
  • Assist in answering incoming phone calls, emails, and other forms of electronic communication.
  • Maintain customer records by updating account information as needed.
  • Serves as the primary liaison with sales, logistics/supply chain, and manufacturing personnel on the effective delivery of customer service.
  • Process credit memos, returns, and price deviations; Report feedback and/or corrective action back to customer, with manager approval.
  • Respond to customer questions and complaints in a professional manner. Direct complaints to the appropriate parties for immediate corrective action and resolution.
  • Provide follow up on all aspects of customer orders (order status, trim issues, anticipated delays etc.)
  • Track warehouse items to ensure availability and that agreed upon minimum/maximum levels are maintained; analyze monthly usages and re-stocking needs per customer.
  • Process farm out orders to other facilities.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Practice and enforce proper safety procedures.

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 2 years of customer service experience in an office setting.

PREFERRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
  • Degree in administrative, business or management preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of the corrugated manufacturing industry process preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent typing and communication skills are essential.
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure.
  • Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, costs, proportions, and volumes.
  • Possess a high degree of accuracy and analytical skills.
