The Strategy and Corporate Development team is a small and elite team responsible for Mattel's overall corporate strategy, and whose day-to-day responsibilities include strategic planning, M&A and corporate development, and strategic projects. We are at the forefront of Mattel's next chapter of growth.

Job Description

The Opportunity: 

Mattel is currently seeking a Manager to join the Strategy and Corporate Development team at our El Segundo, CA headquarters. Each member of this high-performing team plays a key role in shaping the future of Mattel.

This position offers:

What Your Impact Will Be: 

  • Work closely with the Chief Strategy Officer and broader Mattel leadership team to shape Mattel's corporate strategy and lead the annual strategic planning process.
  • Partner closely with senior executives across the company on critical strategic projects across the company, including leading cross-functional teams to realize business impact.
  • Support key M&A and corporate development priorities across the company.
Qualifications

What We're Looking For:

  • BA / BS degree from a top-tier university.
  • 7+ years of total professional experience (5+ with an MBA) with 2+ years of post-MBA or equivalent work experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, or in-house strategy.
  • Track record of impact.
  • Proven strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work successfully in cross-functional teams and manage complex stakeholder groups.
  • Superior communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree
  • Consumer, Tech, and / or Entertainment industry experience
