Job description

We made history and now we work to transform the future - for our customers, our communities and our families. You'll see your work on the road every day, helping people move freely and pursue their dreams. At Ford, you can build more than vehicles. Come build what matters.
The Ford Motor Credit Company team helps put people behind the wheels of great Ford and Lincoln vehicles. By partnering with dealerships, we provide financing, personalized service and professional expertise to thousands of dealers and millions of customers in over one hundred countries around the world.
In this position...
The Strategy Manager role provides a high-impact opportunity to influence Ford Credit's global strategy and new business initiatives, reporting to the Strategy Director & CEO Chief of Staff. In this role, you will lead specific strategy projects while supporting the broader strategic planning process. This provides the opportunity to work across Engineering, Product, Risk and Finance to help shape the future of Ford Credit and ensure we maintain a sustainable competitive advantage in a changing landscape
Responsibilities
What you'll do...
  • Enterprise Orchestration & Project Leadership: Lead end-to-end strategic initiatives from white-space ideation through executive alignment, defining critical-path roadmaps and managing cross-functional workstreams
  • Executive Communication & Storytelling: Synthesize complex financial, operational and market concepts into board-ready strategy papers and compelling presentations for executive leadership
  • Business Development & Initiative Support: Build robust business cases for new growth opportunities, including market expansion, strategic partnerships, M&A and commercial innovation across B2B fleet electrification, fintech and credit economics
  • Strategic Framing & Ideation: Formulate initial hypotheses on complex business problems and market shifts to guide multidisciplinary teams across Finance, Risk, Tech and Product
  • Market Intelligence & Competitive Benchmarking: Develop strategic insights on the fintech landscape, auto finance trends, macro shifts and emerging technologies to drive long-term balance sheet and operational efficiency
  • Process Facilitation & Strategic Frameworks: Facilitate strategy sprint sessions and design-thinking workshops to translate high-level concepts into actionable corporate strategies
  • Onsite Leadership & Collaboration: Serve as a visible, collaborative strategy partner at Ford Credit HQ, fostering active cross-functional alignment and championing enterprise goals

Qualifications
You'll have...
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics or a related quantitative field
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in Corporate Strategy, Management Consulting, Investment Banking or Global Strategy Development within Financial Services, Fintech or Automotive
  • Proven track record of independently driving high-stakes strategic projects and influencing senior executive stakeholders (VP / C-suite / Board level)
  • Exceptional quantitative, qualitative and financial modeling skills with the ability to interpret large datasets, evaluate unit economics and derive actionable business insights
  • Strong executive gravitas, proactive posture and comfort navigating ambiguity without relying on prescriptive direction
  • Demonstrated capability in developing complex strategic frameworks that drive business growth and operational performance
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to build executive-ready presentations that tell a clear, compelling story from hypothesis to recommendation
  • Ability to work onsite at Ford Credit HQ in Dearborn, MI to drive active cross-functional collaboration and lead matrixed teams

Even better, you may have...
  • MBA or relevant graduate degree from a top-tier business school
  • Proactive, self-motivated mindset with experience solving white-space problems across global teams
  • Deep familiarity with strategic frameworks, innovation constructs and corporate capital allocation models
  • Fluency in auto-finance mechanics, securitization / funding models or commercial B2B fleet financing
  • Experience leveraging AI / tech transformation constructs to drive operational velocity and cost efficiency

You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!
As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice. You can choose what your Ford future will look like: will your story span the globe, or keep you close to home? Will your career be a deep dive into what you love, or a series of new teams and new skills? Will you be a leader, a changemaker, a technical expert, a culture builder...or all of the above? No matter what you choose, we offer a work life that works for you, including:
• Immediate medical, dental, vision and prescription drug coverage
• Flexible family care days, paid parental leave, new parent ramp-up programs, subsidized back-up child care and more
• Family building benefits including adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursement, fertility treatments, and more
• Vehicle discount program for employees and family members and management leases
• Tuition assistance
• Established and active employee resource groups
• Paid time off for individual and team community service
• A generous schedule of paid holidays, including the week between Christmas and New Year's Day
• Paid time off and the option to purchase additional vacation time.
This position is leadership level 5 and ranges from $141,700-$268,300.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
