Highland Care Center is currently searching for a talented Cook to join our team!

Our facilities deliver outstanding care as well as foster strong employee bonds. We offer short-term to long-term care and a variety of living options and professional clinical services. We are changing how care is delivered by bringing together people like you: compassionate, highly skilled, and motivated to make a difference!

The Cook is a vital team member who will serve as a leader in the kitchen, and work closely alongside the dietary director, dietary assistant, dietary aides, and cooks to guide all food functions implementing current federal state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern skilled nursing facilities, long term care and assisted facilities.

Cook Responsibilities:

  • This position is responsible for the timely meal preparation of all meals consistent with the posted dining schedule and approved menus.

  • Cooks must be able to prepare meals in a timely manner and have time management skills.

  • Cooks are also in charge of pulling and properly storing meat correctly.

  • Making sure all temp logs and cleaning schedules are getting completed.

Cook Requirements:

  • Must hold a valid Food Handlers Permit

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Experience as a Cook or similar role

  • Working in a Skilled Nursing Facility experience is a plus!
