AM LINE COOKS NEEDED. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS.

The Silver Star Café, an intimate, multiple-award-winning café in Park City, Utah serving weekend brunch, lunch, and intimate dinner in an upscale-casual setting, is currently accepting applications for line cook positions. Silver Star Café is known equally for our excellent food, friendly and professional service, welcoming ambiance, and live acoustic music on weekends.

Ours is not a corporate setting: we are a small, close family who are passionate about great food and beverage, and genuine hospitality. Passionate about the same? Come have some fun with us! See why the Food Network featured us as a “Hidden Gem,” and USA Today featured us as “Park City’s Best Kept Dining Secret.”

The qualified applicant will have excellent communication and customer service skills; an outgoing, friendly, mature attitude; be detail-oriented, a self-starter and a team player.

We like to have set schedules, so if you are juggling another job, we can most likely work with your schedule. However, you must have some flexibility in your schedule, with an ability to work weekend shifts. Due to the resort nature of our business, applicants must be able to work holidays.

2+ years previous cooking experience in high quality restaurant or resort setting required. Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following skills:

Ability to work quickly and cleanly in a fast-pace kitchen

Accurately complete orders

Ensure standards are met, or exceeded

Team-oriented communication with co-workers

Strong knife skills

Experience working plancha and saute stations

Demonstrates safe and sanitary food processes and procedures

Ability to work quietly and quickly in a display kitchen

Preparing a mix of lunch(weekdays) and brunch(weekends) food 

A Summit County food handler’s card is required for all positions.
