Job description

Construction Controller

Location: Columbus, IN
Compensation: $110,000 - $140,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all accounting and finance functions, including month-end close and financial reporting.
  • Oversee job costing, WIP schedules, project budgeting, and profitability analysis.
  • Develop budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Supervise AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger activities.
  • Coordinate audits and work with external CPAs and banking partners.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to executive leadership.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 5+ years of accounting/finance leadership experience within the construction or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction accounting, job costing, and WIP reporting.
  • Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.
