Job description

As the Manufacturing Controller, you'll be at the center of the business, partnering with leadership, engineers, and operations teams to turn financial insights into action. Helping leaders evaluate growth opportunities and purchasing decisions. You'll be identifying ways to improve margins, strengthen cash flow, and streamline operations.

This is a highly visible role where your work directly influences business performance, operational efficiency, and long-term success. If you enjoy being hands-on, solving problems, and helping a company grow through smart financial leadership, you'll find both challenge and opportunity here.

Growth: Pathway to a CFO role in the future as the business expands.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

Your analysis, recommendations, and financial leadership will help guide business decisions and improve operational performance across the organization. Work closely with engineers, technicians, and leadership teams to solve real business challenges, reduce costs, and improve profitability.

You'll have the opportunity to strengthen processes, improve financial systems, and help create a more scalable operation as the company continues to grow. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same, you'll enjoy the variety, ownership, and influence this role provides.

What You'll Do

  • Lead accounting and financial operations, general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and month-end close
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Develop budgets, forecasts, and cash flow plans that support growth and operational needs
  • Analyze financial performance and provide actionable recommendations to leadership
  • Partner with operations teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax requirements, and company policies
  • Support strategic decision-making with clear financial reporting and analysis
  • Help improve systems, reporting capabilities, and overall business processes

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of accounting or finance experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
  • Experience overseeing accounting operations and maintaining internal controls
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to operational and technical teams
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical-thinking skills, HR admin experience is a plus
  • Experience with ERP systems; hands-on Odoo experience is highly preferred

Who Thrives Here

This role is ideal for a manufacturing accounting professional who is ready for broader influence and ownership. You enjoy understanding how a business operates, not just how the numbers work. You're naturally curious, process-minded, and energized by opportunities to improve performance. You want a seat at the table, direct access to decision-makers, and the ability to see the impact of your work every day.
