Key Responsibilities (What You Are Doing)

  • Manage, organize, and optimize MotorTrend's digital and physical editorial archives using AI and metadata tools
  • Identify and develop archive-based editorial content that aligns with business and audience goals
  • Rebuild and republish legacy stories across our brand portfolio on a regular cadence
  • Write new content including listicles, product guides, and strategic editorial features
  • Edit new and existing stories for grammar, clarity, and brand voice
  • Use AI tools to optimize SEO and headlines while keeping storytelling human-centric
  • Respond to cross-functional requests (print, marketing, etc.) for archive assets
  • Navigate and master editorial workflows and CMS tools to efficiently produce content

Qualifications (What We're Looking For)

  • 5+ years of experience in digital publishing or editorial content creation
  • Strong writing and editing skills with a knack for crafting compelling, SEO-optimized stories
  • Meticulous organizational skills and the ability to self-manage projects from start to finish
  • Familiarity with content management systems, editorial workflows, and digital archives
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop is a plus
  • Passion for cars and automotive culture is strongly preferred
  • A clean driving record is required
  • Hybrid schedule: This role is based in El Segundo, CA and requires working in-office 4 days a week

The base salary for this role is between $88,000 - $91,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
