Job description

SECTION 1: Job Summary (Summary of the basic functions of the position)
An active member of the Clinical Nursing Staff, under the supervision of the Clinic Supervisor, who
facilitates efficient daily operations either at a satellite clinic or at the main clinic as required. Clinic staff
should present questions, problems and issues that arise during the course of daily clinic operations to the
Team Leader for assistance, resolution or referral to a supervisor. The Team Leader should monitor the
efficiency of patient flow, and assist providers and staff as needed in all areas and duties to ensure optimal
quality in patient care.
SECTION 2: Duties and Responsibilities (Responsibilities necessary to accomplish job functions)
  • Addresses clinical questions, complaints and issues of patients as needed by assisting staff ori ntervening as the on-site nursing authority in the department. Refers patient questions, complaints and issues that cannot be fully resolved to the Clinic Supervisor for guidance or resolution. Communicates issues, questions and complaints that are satisfactorily resolved to the Clinic Supervisor to ensure the consistent and uninterrupted flow of information between offices.
  • Addresses staff as the on-site authority to provide information regarding and to ensure adherence to practice policies, procedures, regulations and compliance issues. Reports violations to the Clinic Supervisor as needed, and communicates closely with the Front Desk Team Leader to ensure consistency and communication among departments and offices.
  • Facilitates efficiency of operations as the on-site authority for Clinic staff assignments and patient flow in the Clinical area. Maintains communication with the Front Desk Team Leader to ensure understanding and consistency in patient flow and staff related issues and needs. Relates issues to the Clinic Supervisor as needed for guidance or resolution of work or patient flow.
  • Assists with issues related to the Clinic facility and/or its equipment by being the on-site authority for supplies, equipment readiness and maintenance and ensuring safe and comfortable clinical conditions for both staff and patients. Changes or adjustments in supplies, equipment or clinic conditions will be made only with the approval of the Clinic Supervisor, Practice Administrator and/or Managing Partner.
  • Adheres to all safety policies and procedures in performing job duties and responsibilities while supporting a culture of high quality and great customer service.
  • Acts as Emergency Response lead, delegating tasks appropriately, and ensuring all documentation was completed
  • Maintains emergency equipment & medications in accordance to state and Center's regulations
  • Performs other duties that may be necessary or in the best interest of the organization.

SECTION 3: Experience Requirements
  • One-year of work experience in a medical office, and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.

SECTION 4: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements
  • Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
  • Management and organizational skills to support the leadership of this function
  • Ability to follow or provide verbal & written instructions with sufficient grammar and spelling skills to avoid mistakes or misinterpretations
  • Interpersonal skills to support customer service, functional, and team mate support needs
    • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Mathematical and/or analytical ability for basic to intermediate problem solving
  • Basic to intermediate computer operation
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Specialty knowledge of systems relating to job function
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations for this position; general understanding of HIPAA guidelines

SECTION 5: Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities, but is the on-site authority at satellites or other locations as required. This position reports to Clinical Supervisor
