Job Description

To supervise cook and food service workers to ensure that quality, nutritious meals are provided in a cost effective, safe and timely manner; and that all procedures are followed according to established standards





















































Qualifications

**Minimum Qualifications:

Two years experience as a supervisorย in large scale food preparation/cooking in a restaurant, cafeteria, school, hospital, or other large institution, which includes responsibility for training and directing food service employees.

*Completion of a vocational school program (nine months or more) in commercial cooking, institutional food
preparation orย equivalent may be substituted for one year of experience.ย ย ย ย 

OR

Four years experienceย as a cook, baker or equivalent experience in large scale food preparation/cooking in a restaurant, cafeteria, school, hospital or other large institution, which includes at least one year of that time providing supervision or lead work to subordinate workers.

*Completion of a vocational school program (nine months or more) in
commercial cooking, institutional food preparation orย equivalent may be
substituted for one year of experience.
