Job description

Seeking On Call Camp Assistants to join our Long Point Camp Team

Our On Call opportunities offer Sick time

SCOPE AND PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Camp Assistant will provide support to the Camp Administrator relative to the readiness of camp for all rental/TSA Groups. The Camp Assistant will provide customer service to clients modeling an attitude and behavior in support of The Salvation Army’s mission.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the Camp Administrator in the daily tasks as needed and directed.
  • Cleaning of all lakeside apartments, lodge and other areas as scheduled or needed.
  • Quarterly “seasonal cleanings” for all location noted above as scheduled.
  • Must maintain daily cleaning check lists and submit to CA.
  • Maintain inventory and replace necessary items, reporting to CA missing items for ordering/billing.
  • Maintain proper cleaning supplies in proper locations.
  • Prepare and report orders for cleaning supplies in a timely manner to CA.
  • Painting projects as assigned.
  • Report any maintenance needs to CA for repairs.
  • Assist in preparing and serving meals for TSA and outside rental groups as scheduled.
  • Secure and organize incoming orders relative to food service
  • Clean all appliances, cooler, freezers and counter tops following food service
  • Assist in set up dining hall including tables, chairs, place settings, group requests as needed.
  • Assist CA in all preparations for incoming groups.
  • Provide assistance and be available to rental group contact person as needed.
  • Provide accommodation for group requests within reason and scope of agreement
  • Notify CA of problems/changes with any group for proper resolve and additional billings.
  • Secure buildings/rooms that are not in use for safety.
  • Notify CA of any damages or repairs needed.
  • Communicate with on-call maintenance any emergencies that arise during weekend groups for immediate attention following making the CA aware.
  • Perform any other duties as requested by the Camp Administrator.
  • Assist Camp Administrator with any office or administrative tasks as requested.
  • Assist with user group recruitment and marketing as requested.
