Mortgage Broker Assistant (Loan Processing & Client Relations) – In-Person Only
We are a well established, full-service mortgage company, specializing in Private Party (Hard Money) mortgage loans, that also offers Conventional, FNMA, and Government Loan Programs on a limited basis. We are in the process of expanding our conventional lending offerings, and we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mortgage Broker Assistant to support our loan processing, client relations and management obligations.

Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will have exceptional follow-up skills, the ability to explain loan programs and processes clearly, and the confidence to engage with new prospects and existing clients. You will play a key role in assisting the Broker/Owner in managing and overseeing the day-to-day loan processing activities, and ensuring smooth communication with clients and various vendors.

This role offers a standard hourly wage, plus commission. Providing the opportunity to earn up to 10% or more of the loan origination points, based on performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process, submit, and manage conventional A-Paper loans through Hard-Money loan applications.
  • Follow up with broker's clients and prospects to secure outstanding and needed documentation.
  • Assist with client communication, explaining loan programs and responding to inquiries.
  • Perform general office duties, including answering phones, sending/receiving faxes and emails, and data entry.
  • Utilize Loan Origination Software (LOS), Calyx Point, and/or Encompass to process borrowers' applications, run automated DU/DO qualifying software and interface with lender underwriting and documents management platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with Mortgage Loan Disclosure requirements for 1-4 unit residential lending.
  • Prepare loan closing documents using DocMagic and coordinate with escrow, title companies, appraisers, and other real estate professionals. :

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Loan Processing and/or Underwriting.
  • Prior experience supervising and overseeing processing staff preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.) and LOS software (Calyx Point, Encompass).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills.
  • California Dept. of Real Estate Licensee preferred but not required.

Pay: $51,960.00 - $96,092.00 per year (Base + Commission); Supplemental Pay included.
Schedule: Monday through Friday.
Work Location: West Los Angeles California. Strictly in-person – remote or hybrid work is not available.
