Position Summary
The Associate Broker is an entry-level brokerage role designed for individuals seeking an accelerated path to becoming a Commercial Property & Casualty Broker. Working alongside experienced brokers and industry professionals, this role provides extensive hands-on mentorship, real-time market exposure, and direct involvement in client-facing transactions.
As part of a high-performing and rapidly growing Commercial Property team, you will gain experience negotiating with carriers, supporting complex property placements and renewals, and developing the technical and relationship-building skills needed to progress into a Broker position. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who wants to build a long-term career in insurance brokerage and learn from experienced industry leaders.

What will your job entail?
Key Responsibilities
Brokerage & Client Support
  • Support brokers in the placement and servicing of commercial property accounts, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely execution of deliverables.
  • Review policies, endorsements, binders, and related documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company and carrier requirements.
  • Prepare clear, accurate, and professional submissions that effectively communicate client exposures and coverage requirements to underwriting partners.
  • Assist in the marketing of new and renewal business by gathering information, preparing submissions, and coordinating with carriers.
  • Help manage the quote-to-bind process, including issuing quotes, binders, and related documentation.

Market & Carrier Engagement
  • Develop relationships with carrier partners and gain exposure to carrier negotiations, coverage analysis, and market strategy discussions.
  • Analyze insurance programs, coverage options, and underwriting information to support placement recommendations.
  • Participate in the negotiation of pricing, terms, and coverage solutions under the guidance of senior brokers.
  • Support the placement of both new business opportunities and increasingly complex renewal accounts as responsibilities grow.

Relationship Management
  • Deliver responsive, high-quality service to clients, carrier partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Communicate policy updates, corrections, and coverage information clearly and professionally.
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure a seamless client experience and successful account outcomes.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with key industry and internal business partners.

Professional Development
  • Participate in structured training, mentorship, and coaching opportunities designed to support progression into a Broker role.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning through licensing, professional development courses, and industry education.
  • Develop expertise in commercial property insurance, market dynamics, client service, and brokerage best practices.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Strong interest in building a career in commercial insurance, risk management, brokerage, underwriting, or financial services.
  • Willingness to work full time on site in our Boca Raton office
  • Active P&C license or willingness to obtain within the first 45 days of employment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze information, solve problems, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required Property & Casualty and/or Surplus Lines licenses as required by the role.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree concentration in Risk Management, Business, Finance, Economics, Insurance, or a related field.
  • One or more years of experience in commercial insurance, wholesale brokerage, underwriting, client service, sales, account management, or a related field.
  • Exposure to commercial property insurance products and coverage concepts.
  • Insurance internships, coursework, professional designations, or licensing progress.
  • Experience working with client-facing communications, negotiations, or relationship management.
  • Interest in developing toward a producer or broker career path.

The target salary range for this position is $54,250.00 - $60,000.00 annually.
