Customs Brokerage Specialist

Alba Wheels Up has become the standard for the expertise needed to handle the Wearing apparel, Perishable, Electronics and Marble & Stone sectors, traditionally the most difficult commodities to both harmonize and provide supply chain management to. Our Global network provides true door-to-door service and supply chain management required in today's logistics environment. Our advanced transport management platform ensures visibility of our client's freight from point to point. Job Description:
Responsible for providing and maintaining effective customer service and satisfaction; provide information to resolve customer shipment related issues; interact with management and personnel to establish service criteria and meet customer requirements.
Responsibilities:
  • Processing Customs brokerage for air and ocean shipments
  • Data entry and processing of various import related documentation for submission to U.S. Customs and PGA's (participating Government Agencies)
  • Follow up on Customs matters and resolve problems
  • Answer both customer inquiries and inter-company inquiries
  • Handle remote filings
  • Classify goods in the harmonized tariff schedule (broad range of commodities)

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Customs Brokerage for both air and ocean shipments
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work in a high pressure environment
  • Must be detailed oriented
  • Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of Customs Brokerage software, experience working with Cargowise is a plus
  • Customs Brokerage license is a plus
  • Must be a team player
