Job description

A Back of House Manager is one who consistently demonstrates our core values, embraces the Chick-fil-A culture and has a servant's heart. They have a passion for people and serving others, have strong character, take initiative, understand the importance of details and work with a sense of urgency at all times.

Our Back of House Managers are responsible for leading shifts according to the business goals, supporting senior leadership in executing daily operations and keeping team members accountable for each component of Operational Excellence and our Recipe for Service. A Back of House Manager's three main areas of focus are food safety, leading the shift to the expected operational excellence standards and coaching/developing team members. Back of House Managers lead by example at all times and set the tone that the team will follow.

Back of House Manager Responsibilities:

  • Food safety always
  • Participating operationally in day-to-day activities in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant
  • Assist in training of new hires, set the tone for a shift and act as a role model for the Team
  • Be a friendly and encouraging team player
  • Open and/or close and lead shifts
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Ensures that our guests receive delicious food, served in a reasonable amount of time
  • Prepare, cook, assemble, and present food safely, quickly and efficiently, meeting Chick-fil-A standards for excellence and food safety
  • Be knowledgeable of the assignments for all kitchen stations, including fries, breading, assembling, boards, and food prep
  • Stock kitchen inventory as needed
  • Keep the kitchen neat, clean and orderly at all times
  • Keep up-to-date with new products rolled out by Chick-fil-A
  • Work safely around kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues to Leadership
  • Maintain personal knowledge by completing in-house training and stay up-to-date on any changes
  • Complete all opening or closing tasks as assigned
  • Adhere to Chick-fil-A rules and dress code at all times
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Prior experience as shift lead, crew lead, supervisor, team lead, restaurant manager, restaurant assistant manager is not required but is preferred.

Chick-fil-A Personal Grooming and Appearance Standards:

  • Piercings are allowed but limited to ears with simple studs, a single nostril with a simple stud. No other facial piercings are allowed.
  • Fingernails must meet health department requirements and not extend past fingertips. No false fingernails allowed.
  • Tattoos must not be visible on face or neck.
  • Natural hair coloring is acceptable. Dying hair in natural colors is allowed. Dying hair in unnatural hues is not allowed.
  • Facial hair - Short neatly groomed facial hair with defined cheek and necklines.

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be willing and able to work a flexible schedule
  • Have the ability to lift and carry 10-65 lbs
  • If hired, must obtain a Southern Nevada Food Handler Safety Training Card
