Marriott Syracuse Downtown seeks Banquet Cook (Full-Time) to organize, prepare and cook all food items in assigned stations for banquets and restaurant meals and assists the chef in training and support of the kitchen staff.

Here is what you will be doing each day as a Banquet Cook:

  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes quality standards, presentation standards and food preparation checklist. Date all food containers and rotate.
  • Inspects, selects and uses food items of the highest quality in the preparation of all menu items.
  • Check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull and line set up. Note any items out of stock or shortages. Keep buffet items stocked.
  • Prepare food for banquets as required following specifications of banquet event orders.
  • Work banquet food stations as scheduled by chef.
  • Operate, maintain and properly clean deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron and flat top grill.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
