Location: Los Angeles, CA

Position Type: Full-Time, Hourly

Compensation: $26–$28 per hour


Position Overview

We are seeking a talented and driven Pastry Chef to lead the pastry and bakery program within a dynamic café environment. This role works closely with the Café Manager and Head Chef to develop and execute a thoughtful, seasonal pastry offering while overseeing daily pastry operations.

The ideal candidate is both creative and highly organized, with strong technical pastry skills and a passion for quality, consistency, and guest experience.


Key Responsibilities

Pastry Production & Execution

  • Prepare a wide variety of baked goods including cakes, scones, breads, and pastries
  • Execute recipes involving doughs, batters, custards, creams, and other pastry components
  • Ensure consistent quality, presentation, and freshness across all offerings

Menu Development & Creativity

  • Develop innovative and seasonal desserts to enhance the menu
  • Contribute new ideas that align with the overall culinary vision and guest preferences

Inventory & Cost Control

  • Monitor and manage inventory of pastry ingredients and supplies
  • Assist with ordering and sourcing of both food and non-food items
  • Maintain cost awareness while ensuring product quality

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee cleanliness and organization of all pastry and kitchen areas, including storage and prep spaces
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards

Team Collaboration & Leadership
