Description
The Associate Solutions Consultant is closely mentored during the first year of employment, with the goal of developing into a Solutions Consultant. The Associate Solutions Consultant works closely with a Senior Solutions Consultant and their inside sales team to learn the products and services, as well as the internal procedures and processes. Additional responsibilities include driving new business with the current accounts of the Senior Solutions Consultant and searching for and landing new customers.
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Promote and resell HBS products and services that will provide the highest return on investment of current and future customer IT expenditures.
  • Obtain strategic manufacturer sales certifications, such as Cisco Sales Expert and VMware Sales Professional.
  • Secure business relationships within HBS' partner groups, such as Cisco, Microsoft, Dell, and HP, to help improve HBS' profitability through increased licensing revenues and services.
  • Follow the HBS administrative guidelines for the processing of orders, timesheets, and requests for service resources.
  • Provide remedial project management and be responsible for transferring customer expectations to the HBS System Engineer or Programmer.
  • Analyze client needs and interests and manage client satisfaction issues.
  • Consult with engineers regarding technical problems.
  • Accurately forecast new business as it is being developed and closed.
  • Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information such as selling strategies and marketing information.
  • Attend sales meetings and read related publications to stay current on product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising, and promotional trends.
  • Initiate sales campaigns and follow marketing plan guidelines in order to meet sales and production expectations.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets by leveraging dynamic sales strategies.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.
