Job description

Hello, Associate Media Planner!

Freeosk is looking for an Associate Media Planner to help support and scale our growing retail media business.

This role sits at the center of Media Planning, Sales, Client Success, and Operations, helping ensure opportunities move efficiently from initial request through campaign launch. The Associate Media Planner will support planning activity across retailer programs by coordinating intake, validating inventory availability, developing planning recommendations, maintaining opportunity data, and supporting campaign execution workflows.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented, with a passion for solving problems, working with data, and improving processes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in retail media, media planning, advertising operations, or revenue operations.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $60,000 to $70,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on skills and experience.

We work in a distributed environment. Our office is in Chicago, but you can be located within the continental United States. There will be travel required to our Chicago office from time to time.

What Success Looks Like
  1. Improve planning efficiency and seller capacity by owning operational planning workflows and coordinating opportunities from intake through handoff.
  2. Deliver accurate and timely planning recommendations that align campaign objectives with available inventory.
  3. Maintain high-quality planning and opportunity data that supports operational visibility, cross-functional coordination, and campaign readiness.
  4. Proactively identify inventory, workflow, and execution risks before they impact campaign delivery.
  5. Support a consistent and scalable planning process that enables Freeosk to grow without adding operational complexity.
  6. Develop trusted partnerships with Sales, Client Success, Operations, Finance, and other stakeholders through reliable execution and strong communication.
What You'll Do 1) Media Planning Support
  • Build retailer comparisons and planning recommendations for media opportunities.
  • Validate inventory availability and campaign feasibility.
  • Support development of standardized media packages and planning solutions.
  • Escalate complex planning scenarios and recommendations when needed.
2) Workflow Coordination & Intake Management
  • Manage inbound planning requests across assigned retailer programs and verticals.
  • Ensure required information is collected and opportunities move efficiently through planning workflows.
  • Coordinate follow-ups across Sales, Client Success, Operations, Analytics, Finance, and partner teams.
  • Track requests and maintain visibility on planning progress and next steps.
3) Salesforce & Data Management
  • Maintain opportunity records, planning documentation, inventory notes, and workflow updates within Salesforce.
  • Support consistent documentation and data accuracy across planning activities.
  • Assist with reporting, audits, and process documentation.
4) Campaign Execution Support
  • Support quote creation, contract workflows, inventory analysis, and campaign setup activities.
  • Coordinate approved changes and ensure updates are reflected across systems and stakeholders.
  • Help facilitate smooth handoffs between pre-sale and post-sale teams.
5) Operational Excellence & Process Improvement
  • Conduct recurring audits of planning, inventory, and campaign data.
  • Identify process gaps, recurring issues, and opportunities for automation or efficiency gains.
  • Contribute to building scalable planning processes that support future growth.
Experience Required
  • 1-3 years of experience in media planning, media operations, campaign management, sales operations, revenue operations, advertising operations, or a related field.
  • Experience working with operational processes, reporting, or large datasets.
  • Strong proficiency in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort working in a remote, cross-functional environment.
Preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce, including Salesforce CPQ.
  • Experience in retail media, shopper marketing, digital advertising, or CPG environments.
  • Experience supporting Sales, Client Success, Account Management, or Operations teams.
  • Experience with inventory-driven business models or campaign execution workflows.
  • Experience documenting processes and supporting process improvement initiatives.
