Description

Ignited Government provides federal and DOD agencies modern approaches to realize their marketing and outreach objectives. With 25 years of experience partnering and supporting government agencies, we understand the complexities of federal, state and local government communications challenges.


We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and eager Associate Media Planner to support the integrated media team. This person will also work collaboratively across the agency on multiple clients, and ensuring the delivery of accurate and high quality work. Core function of this role is media planning and buying, campaign execution, maintenance, and reporting.


Responsibilities

·       Support team and larger agency with all aspects of media planning, buying, and campaign analysis including but not limited to: pre-campaign research, planning, channel/vendor selection & negotiations, client services, campaign implementation, data analysis, optimization for maximum campaign effectiveness, and post-campaign reporting

·       Responsible for compiling campaign reports, deriving insights, making recommendations, and optimizations to ensure campaign success

·       Campaign management consisting of media trafficking, organizing/leading creative kick-off calls, compiling screenshots/proof of placements, live links, etc.

·       Responsible for processing and maintaining accurate media billing and invoicing

·       Use of marketing tools including but not limited to: Google Campaign Manager (ad serving), other Rich Media and Video Ad Servers, Google Ads, Google Analytics, Microsoft Bing Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn, Reddit, comScore, Nielsen, MRI, Kantar, Simply Measured, etc.

·       Works within (self-serve) Paid Social and Search dashboards to set-up and manage campaigns (assigning campaign goals, budget, audience targeting, creative and keyword implementation)

·       Conduct competitive research to gather ideas for ad copy tactics, new strategic approaches, and variations on calls to action

·       Assist creative in writing compelling ad copy and developing calls to action for paid search and social campaigns

·       Stay abreast of industry trends and research and share ideas for improved analytics solutions (i.e., new tools, services, etc.)

·       Responsible for presenting information to internal and external teams including but not limited to: Client campaign reports/recaps, media presentations, agency/client updates in vendor meetings, etc.

·       Utilize current media accounting and 3rd party tracking systems (as well as learning new ones) for campaign reporting and management

·       Collects information for the preparation of media plans including media kits, media costs, syndicated research and competitive analyses

·       Prepares client estimates and media buy documents for manger review

·       Prepares insertion orders for all media placed (Digital, Video, OOH, etc.) and maintains the current contract, contact files, and media library

·       Follows-up with written confirmation to/from media vendors and builds strong relationships with industry reps

·       Understanding and staying ahead of evolving user behaviors and general consumer trends


Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising or related discipline; and/or equivalent combination of education, training and related experience  


Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship

Must have the ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government contractor employment suitability determination (i.e. personnel security clearance)

Hybrid role; Must be able to work on-site in Arlington, VA approx. 3 days/wk


Essential Skills & Experience

  • Min. 1 year of advertising agency or media industry experience that provides an understanding of advertising and media planning and buying. 
  • Hands on experience in the day to day of planning, buying, implementation, analytics, and optimization (primarily digital)
  • Proficient understanding of third-party ad measurement and traffic tools
  • Displays a high level of initiative and independent thinking
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Well-versed with social media platforms (i.e. Meta, LinkedIn, X)
  • Microsoft Office 365 (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Agency Management and Project Collaboration tools
