What does an Acquisition professional do?

An Acquisition professional is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and securing assets, companies, or resources on behalf of an organization. Their work often involves conducting market research, negotiating deals, performing due diligence, and managing the integration of acquired assets. Acquisition specialists are commonly found in industries such as real estate, finance, and corporate development, where they help businesses grow strategically through mergers, acquisitions, or purchases.

What are some common challenges faced in an Acquisition role and how can new hires overcome them?

Professionals in Acquisition roles often encounter challenges such as managing tight deadlines, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with procurement regulations. New hires can overcome these obstacles by developing strong project management skills, proactively communicating with internal teams and external partners, and staying current with industry best practices. Building relationships with key stakeholders and seeking mentorship within the organization can also help navigate complex acquisitions more smoothly.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Acquisition Specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Acquisition Specialist, you need strong analytical skills, negotiation abilities, and a background in business, finance, or supply chain management, often supported by a relevant degree. Familiarity with procurement software, contract management systems, and certifications like Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) are valuable. Excellent communication, attention to detail, and relationship-building skills help Acquisition Specialists excel in vendor interactions and cross-functional teams. These competencies ensure effective sourcing, cost savings, and compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.

Job description

Own Deals. Build Equity. Scale Through Acquisition.

Remote (U.S. Market Focus) · Performance-Based · Operator Track

Overview

The Acquisition Entrepreneur role is your path to owning cash-flowing businesses—without needing prior M&A experience.

You’ll work directly with our team to identify, structure, and close acquisitions of $1M+ EBITDA companies, while we support sourcing, financing, and post-acquisition operations.

This is not a job.
It’s a path to ownership and long-term equity creation.

What You’ll Do
  • Work with buyers and live deal flow to identify acquisition opportunities

  • Participate in deal structuring, negotiation, and execution

  • Engage with sellers, brokers, and financing partners

  • Move deals from initial conversation to close

You focus on driving the deal forward.
We support everything behind the scenes.

What We Handle
  • Deal sourcing pipelines and outreach

  • Financial underwriting and analysis support

  • Debt and equity financing strategy

  • Legal structuring and transaction coordination

  • Post-acquisition operational support

What You Get
  • ~$1M+ annual upside per closed deal (performance-dependent)

  • Equity ownership in acquired businesses

  • Done-with-you acquisition model

  • Access to experienced M&A operators and systems

  • Ability to scale across multiple acquisitions

Why It Works
  • Skip years of building deal flow and infrastructure

  • Execute real acquisitions from day one

  • Learn by doing—not theory

  • Build a portfolio of cash-flowing businesses

Who This Is For
  • Ambitious operators who want ownership, not employment

  • Sales professionals or deal-driven individuals

  • Entrepreneurs looking to scale through acquisition

  • Individuals with strong execution mindset (no prior M&A required)

Ideal Candidate
  • Highly driven and commercially minded

  • Comfortable in conversations, negotiation, and deal environments

  • Process-oriented with strong follow-through

  • Motivated by ownership, equity, and long-term upside

Role Structure
  • Performance-based (no salary)

  • Remote, U.S. market focused

  • Operator track with increasing deal ownership

Important Note

This is not a passive opportunity.

Success in this role requires execution, consistency, and deal-making ability.
