Director, Sales & Product Finance

The Job

Turntide is looking for a Director of Finance to join our growing FP&A team. This is a key and influential position within our core business. 

We are looking for someone who will become the trusted business partner to functional leaders under Sales, Product, and Operations; support managers in decision related to product and deal pricing, go-to-market models, spending initiatives, ad-hoc financial analysis and monthly, quarterly, and annual capacity and expense planning.

●    Is comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic and ambiguous business environment with diverse and challenging projects and aggressive timelines.
●    Identify opportunities and is willing to roll up the sleeves to get the work done.
●    Able to work across several management levels and functional areas.
●    Has good analytical skills and good understanding of financial processes and workflows
●    Collaborates with Sales Ops to maintain and analyze bookings and billings performance. Help formulate and analyze business drivers, market strategies, and vertical markets.
●    Supports the development of the growing subscription business, including working with Sales and Revenue Accounting on tools and processes related to fulfillment, contract tracking, management of entitlements, invoicing, and revenue recognition.
●    Collaborates with Sales Ops to devise and assess the impact of Sales Incentive Plans Analyzes sales performance for effectiveness and benchmarking. Forecast Commission paid and expense. 
●    Partners with Sales and Product leaders to drive the annual budget, quarterly forecast, and long-range plan.
●    Partners with recruiting teams to monitor the headcount hiring process, track and update related business performance metrics monthly/weekly.
●    Prepares financial analyses as needed to help drive improvements in the business. Current focus areas include market expansion opportunities, product pricing and margin, and strategic financial optimization strategies.
●    Assists with additional ad-hoc analyses for the broader FP&A team as needed.

The Requirements


●    10+ years of finance experience in a high-growth technology environment.
●    Direct experience supporting a business unit of functional area.
●    Ability to organize complex and ambiguous business decisions, and to collect data necessary to conduct meaningful analysis to support business recommendations.
●    Committed to high standards of ethics, accuracy, and precision.
●    Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
●    Ability to think creatively, highly driven, and self-motivated.
●    MBA, or similar degree in Finance or Accounting a plus, but not required.
