Position Summary
The Director of Sales - Federal/Government is responsible for leading and executing the company's federal sales strategy across Federal agencies. This role focuses on driving revenue growth through direct sales, partner channels, and contract vehicles while navigating the complexities of the U.S. federal procurement process.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute a comprehensive federal sales strategy aligned with company growth targets
• Identify and prioritize target agencies, programs, and contract opportunities
• Lead full lifecycle federal sales: opportunity identification, capture, proposal, and award
• Build executive-level relationships across federal agencies and system integrators
• Navigate federal acquisition regulations (FAR/DFARS) and procurement cycles
• Own revenue targets and maintain accurate pipeline forecasting
Qualifications
• 8-12+ years of enterprise sales experience, with 5+ years in federal sales
• Proven track record of closing $5M+ deals within federal agencies
• Strong understanding of federal procurement processes and contract vehicles
• Experience leading sales or business development teams
