Summary:

Rumpl seeks a dynamic and strategic Director of eCommerce & Performance Marketing to lead Rumpl’s DTC channels, affiliate marketing, and digital marketing efforts. This role is pivotal in driving sales and LTV through Rumpl.com and Amazon, and partners closely with Rumpl Sales and Marketing Leadership to drive an omnichannel brand growth strategy. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, expert knowledge in building DTC forecasts and managing P&Ls, develop DTC marketing strategies, and collaborate cross-functionally to drive channel performance and operational excellence.


Essential Responsibilities:


  • End-To-End Management of DTC Channels:
    • Oversee Rumpl.com and Amazon, managing online presence, campaign launches, SEO, and content updates.
    • Drive eCommerce and Amazon promotional calendar, ensuring scalable channel growth and increased Customer LTV.
    • Monitor and enhance website performance, user experience, and conversion rates.


  • Channel Planning & Forecasting:
    • Provide accurate annual and seasonal forecasting for eCommerce channels, adjusting based on performance indicators and trends.
    • Collaborate with Finance, Sales, and Marketing to drive ecommerce product pipeline requests and fuel channel growth.
    • Develop and execute affiliate marketing strategy to drive target outcomes and KPIs.
    • P&L Management for DTC Marketing & Resources.


  • Performance Marketing Strategy & Execution:
    • Lead Rumpl's performance marketing team, strategies, and channel advertising efforts across various platforms and tactics (Meta, Google, TikTok, SEM, Pinterest, YouTube, CTV, Direct Mail, etc.).
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align performance strategies with brand strategy and business goals.
    • Set ROAS targets and investment strategies, proposing incrementality strategies and investments as needed to drive results and close gaps.
    • Manage the DTC budget effectively and with clear business cases, allocating resources for various initiatives and programs.


  • Team Management:
    • Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing team in a remote and hybrid work environment.
    • Set performance goals, provide regular feedback, and facilitate professional development.
    • Foster collaboration with other departments to ensure integrated marketing efforts.
    • Recruit skilled eCommerce and performance marketing professionals to strengthen the team.


  • eCommerce Organization Planning & Development:
    • Determine long-term vision for Rumpl's eCommerce efforts, site feature enhancements, and department growth in line with Brand Growth Plans.
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for the brand's presence on Amazon.
    • Create performance ad campaigns and optimize affiliates marketing aligned with key strategies, promotions, and messaging.
    • Oversee data analytics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • 10+ years of eCommerce & performance marketing experience
  • 3+ years of management experience
  • 3+ years experience forecasting a consumer products business and managing P&Ls
  • Meaningful experience with DTC-forward consumer brands or outdoor/sporting goods brands.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to map KPIs to forecast.
  • Demonstrated track record of coaching and developing others
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly organized with exceptional project management abilities
  • College degree


Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Travel required, approximately 10%
