Regional Program Director (Allied Health)

Responsible for providing the leadership, administrative and academic direction necessary to fulfill the mission, objectives, plans and goals of the program(s) assigned within the college. Supervising and evaluating all the phases of the student life cycle within the program assigned and focused on five main areas: Student Experience (Persistence, Retention, Certification, and Graduation), Curriculum Delivery, Accreditation, and Teaching & Learning Assessment Processes. This position has overall accountability for academic program offerings, including, achievement of programmatic outcomes, faculty oversight, assessment and evaluation of student learning and satisfaction, monitoring programmatic and/or institutional academic policy and standards according to institutional priority goals and accreditation criteria established. Regional Program Director (RPD) will report to the Dean of Academic Affairs of Distance Education as a member of the Online Management Team.

Minimum requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Allied Health, Healthcare Administration, or Business concentrated in healthcare administration.
• Possess current Medical Billing and Coding certification from AAPC, AHIMA, CPPM Certification, or Basic Machine Operator license with official transcripts from post-secondary institution.
• Minimum of 3 years of successful online teaching experience at the college level
• Minimum of 3 years of managerial experience managing faculty, budgets and projections as well as tracking and reporting key operational metrics.
• Minimum of 3 years of work experience in field

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Meets or exceeds monthly and annual retention goals (70% or benchmark established for the programs assigned, including but not limited driving improvement in areas of student academic progress (monitoring and impacting, persistence, final grades, SAP advising, academic support) and contributing to student population goals and budget (including laddering and reentries).

• Continuously drives improvement in area of certification with the goal 90% sit, 80% pass, 70% certification for programs with certification and facilitates and provides workshops to reinforce certification test preparation for students, as needed.
• Recruits, hires, trains and assigns qualified faculty and Program Coordinators to courses, and ensure courses have the appropriate coverage (Instructors, TA’s, etc.).

• Ensures faculty administrative duties are completed timely
• Conducts formal classroom observations, one on one, and evaluations of faculty

• Provides support to the campuses while planning and implementing the budget including program expenses, operational and capital needs.
