Project and Proposal Coordinator - Construction

Role and Responsibilities: The project & proposal coordinator plans, coordinates, and directs activities concerned with construction projects.
· Work with subcontractors, vendors, and project staff to put together construction proposals of small, medium, and large scale.
· Responsible for entering in change orders.
· Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards that model contract specifications and project workflow.
· Lead identification to streamline project workflow including ways to optimize the workflow modeled in the project database system.
· Lead identification of ways to integrate technology to improve and optimize process workflow.
· Collaborate with supervisors and project managers to support and address project life cycle tasks, issues, and change orders.
· Initiate the permit process and follow up with local jurisdictions on necessary requirements.
· Provide requisite support to address time sensitive issues that occur during the execution of a project (e.g., resolution of a key project items that occurs during evening/weekends).
· Participate in weekly meetings with other project managers to foster a team atmosphere and continue to enhance programs and processes.
· Provide support to project managers in the tracking and reporting on project milestones and status updates to customers and management (e.g., preparation of system reports and email correspondence and phone communication in resolution of project challenges).
· Work with contract administrators to manage financial aspects of contracts including providing checks-and-balance reviews and audits to maintain the integrity of the project’s expenses and invoicing.
· Provide audit review of projects to confirm closeout of projects is performed in an efficient and comprehensive manner.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
· Strong verbal and communication skills
· Strong work ethic, dependable, and takes ownership of tasks
· Ability to work effectively as a member of a team or independently.
· Excellent office, database management, and CAD skills.
