ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as an IT Help Desk Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering tier 1 hands-on and in-person technical assistance to GILLIG employees, addressing issues related to desktop/laptop hardware, software, and systems. You will also assist in providing technical support for senior system administration staff with problems/issues that have been raised to 2nd tier. You will possess a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service and thrive in a collaborative team environment.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL
  • Setup and configure Microsoft Windows 10/11 desktops and laptops for new and existing employees. Participate in computer imaging and deployment/replacement for computers and peripherals.
  • Provide technical assistance, training, and responsive support for incoming queries and issues related to desktop and laptop hardware, Microsoft Windows 10/11 operating system software, and a wide range of desktop productivity applications.
  • Provide support and configuration for a wide range of computer peripherals and devices like printers, copiers, and audio-visual (A/V) systems.
  • Work on-site with Loveland, CO based IT team and work remotely with Livermore, CA based IT team to cross functionally support GILLIG employees.
  • Attend and actively participate in daily and weekly meetings.
  • Maintain accurate asset management records.
  • Participate in endpoint security and patch management.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2+ years Help Desk experience
  • Demonstrated configuration experience with Microsoft Windows 10/11 operating systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Office 365) and related desktop productivity software
  • Working knowledge of application virus security, understanding of vulnerabilities and countermeasures
  • Ability to effectively communicate issues and resolutions to all levels of the organization

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
  • Regularly required to sit for long periods, stand, and walk, and occasionally kneel or squat
  • Fast paced work environment

EXPECTED COMPENSATION

$20.00 - $28.00 / hour

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job classification, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate receives an offer of employment.
