Administrative Nurse Assistant
Overview:
Square Care Medical Group, LLP in partnership with Downtown Women OBGYN is currently seeking a dynamic, experienced, compassionate, and dedicated individual to fill the position of Administrative Nurse Assistant in our busy OBGYN practice located in SoHo.
In this role you will work alongside our nurses, providing excellent patient care and administrative duties to meet the needs of the nursing department and the practice. This candidate will assist in promoting a positive patient experience as outlined in our mission, vision, and values.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Professionally handle high volume of incoming departmental calls
  • Must be able to exercise discretion and sound judgment in handling incoming calls and inquiriesProduce and distribute correspondence letters, faxes, forms
  • Accurately maintain electronic health records
  • Documents patient information, care provided, and any changes in situations or conditions
  • Data entry in Athena EMR or appropriate system/ applications
  • Communicates effectively with patients and healthcare team
  • Obtains Prior Authorizations for Prescriptions
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
  • Contact radiology facilities and lab facilities as needed
  • Schedule appointments as needed
  • Perform other administrative duties as needed
  • Maintains all compliance standards as determined by the Medical Group

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • At least one year of experience in patient care, nursing assistance required
  • Medical Terminology/Basic Clinical Knowledge preferred
  • EMR and Microsoft knowledge preferred
