Job description

Our client is looking for an IT Support Technician for a temp to hire assignment. This role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, hands-on technical support experience, and a proactive approach to troubleshooting and operational support.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Tier 1 technical support via phone, email, and walk-up assistance
  • Support end users through basic troubleshooting, issue resolution, and general IT inquiries
  • Assist with Q&A sessions and incident coordination activities
  • Prepare and maintain documentation, including filing and scanning drop-off and loaner forms
  • Assist with equipment re-labeling, inventory organization, and securing of devices
  • Perform thorough testing and quality checks on faculty-facing equipment, including keyboards, peripherals, and related hardware
  • Update and maintain faculty-facing technical documentation and support materials
  • Collaborate with internal IT staff to ensure smooth day-to-day support operations
  • Perform additional administrative and technical support duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Previous experience in an IT support, help desk, or technical support role preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, peripherals, and troubleshooting processes
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team
  • Experience with documentation, ticketing systems, or inventory management is a plus

Compensation: $30-35/hr
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
