Job Description
The IT Desktop Support Technician provides first-level technical support
to students, faculty, and staff by assisting with hardware, software, and classroom technology issues. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience aligned with a Desktop Support Technician career path. This position will work under the direction of the Technology Support Manager.
Essential Duties Summary
โ€ข Provide Tier 1 desktop support for Windows and macOS systems
โ€ข Troubleshoot hardware issues (PCs, laptops, monitors, printers)
โ€ข Assist with software, OS, email, and network connectivity issues
โ€ข Log and track requests using an IT ticketing system
โ€ข Provide basic classroom and lab technology support
โ€ข Assist with computer imaging, setup, and inventory
โ€ข Communicate clearly and professionally with end users
Required Qualifications
โ€ข Basic knowledge of Windows or macOS
โ€ข Strong customer service and communication skills
โ€ข Willingness to learn and follow IT procedures
