Job Summary:

As an Account Manager, you will be personally responsible for — and rewarded for — driving the ongoing success of Mid-State Industrial Maintenance (MSIM). You will cultivate a deep understanding of client facilities, provide technical solutions that enhance efficiency, and help ensure safe operating electrical systems. In partnership with the Division Sales Manager, you’ll execute the go-to-market strategy, drive profitable revenue growth, and expand our vertical-market client base and geographic reach. This position is responsible for coverage across Indiana and Michigan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the entire sales cycle from identifying potential clients to securing deals.
  • Cultivate long-term partnerships through networking and proactive engagement.
  • Conduct routine audits and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Prepare detailed estimates and proposals for client projects.
  • Oversee quality control measures for on-site work.
  • Schedule subcontractors to meet project timelines and milestones.
  • Collaborate closely with the Operations team for timely project execution.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships across multiple levels within client organizations.
  • Execute plans to ensure consistent communication with existing customers and key prospects.
  • Identify and capture profitable revenue opportunities.
  • Attend trade meetings to gather information and establish contacts.
  • Resolve post-sale client issues effectively.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent industry experience (5+ years) in lieu of a degree.

Experience:

  • Electrical field experience required.
  • Prior sales or marketing experience in electrical services/maintenance.
  • Experience in utility and power generation industries preferred.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficient in preparing electronic take-offs and estimates.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and plans.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven track record of success.

Work Location and Travel:

  • The main office is located at 1171 Grill Rd Van Wert, OH 45891
  • Travel to client and customer sites is required in the Indiana and Michigan region..
  • Days and hours of work may vary at times to include some evenings and weekends.

Physical Requirements:

Talk/Hear The ability to hear and to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words. The ability to communicate and convey information and ideas verbally so others will understand.

Standing/Sitting: Constantly must have the ability to sit while driving long distances and while in meetings and stand for presentations.

Walking: Frequently must walk well enough to travel in and outdoor industrial sites of varying terrain and elevations.

Use Hands/Fingers: Constantly must be able to use hands and fingers to manipulate computer keyboards, paper documents, and other items such as trade show booths.

Writing: The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing. The ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand.

Mental Acuity: Constantly able to quickly understand client needs and adjust to shifting priorities with the ability to navigate objection, contract terms service requirements. Strategic thinking is required to access long-term client value, anticipate trends, and align activities with company goals.

Vision: Must see well enough to safely navigate industrial environments, review detailed documents such as contracts, blueprints, emails and operating systems.

Carry, Weight, Lift: Frequently must be able to lift up to 25lbs to carry materials to and from customer locations. Items include but aren’t limited to laptop, presentation materials, trade show booths, etc.

Climb: Occasionally will need to climb stairs in a heavy industrial environment to complete job reviews and estimates.

Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl: Rarely may need to do so to see scope of work to be performed.
