Description
Responsible for selling complex technological products or services to businesses. The Sales Engineer will serve customers by identifying their needs; engineering adaptations of products, equipment and service.
The territory for this position includes the Charlotte metro area and surrounding counties. Candidates must reside within this region to be considered. 

Key Responsibilities
• Actively drives sales and business development
• Formulates strategies to grow sales revenue, market share and customer satisfaction in assigned territory
• Serves as a liaison and advocate between the customer and the organization
• Prepares and delivers technical presentations explaining products or services to customers and prospective customers
• Confers with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and to determine system requirements
• Collaborates with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support
• Secures and renews orders and arrange delivery
• Plans and modifies products to meet customer needs
• Helps clients solve problems with installed equipment
• Recommends improved materials or machinery to customers, shows how changes will lower costs or increase production
• Helps in researching and developing new products
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management

• Knowledge of technical products, rotating equipment, air compression products and their applications 
• Knowledge of industrial distribution models or multi step distribution preferred 
• Advocates a safety-first attitude in all aspects of position 
• Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 software; Salesforce experience preferred 
Education: Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or three to five years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
