Job description

Legal Assistant, Workers Compensation
We are seeking a full-time experienced Legal Assistant with at least two (2) years legal assistant experience in a Claimant’s Workers' Compensation setting. This position is NOT remote.
Compensation: starting at $30 an hour, Pay is commensurate with experience.
Candidate would need to be able to perform the following tasks:
  • Capable of overseeing 120+ workers' compensation files.
  • Provide administrative support to attorneys, including managing schedules, appointments, and deadlines.
  • Possess extensive experience with law firm management/case management software.
  • Request medical records, and other discovery related to furthering the claim.
  • Prepare settlement documents.
  • Demonstrates a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues.
  • Conduct & maintain a positive & enthusiastic interaction with all clients.
  • Bilingual, English / Spanish required.
  • Must be great with client communication.
  • Must have strong work ethic and be able to work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to prioritize work and work under pressure.
  • Must be well organized and detail oriented.
  • Must have computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook.
