Job description

DEFINITION:

The Unit Secretary/Clerk is an individual who facilitates good communication with other departments. Assists the nursing staff in administering direct and indirect patient care by assuming the clerical and receptionist duties, and by maintaining the physical environment of the area for the following age groups: Patients cared for or interacted with are classified as infants, pediatrics, adolescent, adult and geriatric.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous experience as a Unit Secretary in a hospital setting is desired.

Completion of formal training program preferred.

Certificate of Completion of a Unit Secretary program is desired.
