Position Summary
ALIYA on 87th is seeking a dedicated and experienced Unit Manager to oversee the clinical operations of a designated unit within a skilled nursing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality resident care, supporting nursing staff, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards. The Unit Manager plays a key role in driving clinical outcomes, staff engagement, and overall unit performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily clinical operations of an assigned unit

  • Supervise, coach, and support nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs

  • Ensure delivery of high-quality, resident-centered care

  • Monitor and improve clinical outcomes, including quality measures and survey readiness

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans

  • Conduct rounds and address resident and family concerns

  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements

  • Assist with staffing, scheduling, and performance management

  • Support infection control, safety, and compliance initiatives

  • Participate in audits, surveys, and quality improvement programs

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing

  • 2+ years of nursing experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting

  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred

  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations for long-term care
