Job description

Livingston Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, a 120 bed Skilled Nursing Facility, located in Southern Columbia County, is looking for dedicated, caring, Unit Assistants to join our Care Team!

We are offering a generous sign on bonus for any unit assistant hired for full time and part time!

BROAD FUNCTION:

Unit Assistants are employed to assist staff in meeting needs of the resident. Assistants will report to the unit coordinator/charge nurse of the wing they are assigned on a particular day. Assistants will not be responsible for providing direct resident care unless specified in job duties.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Answer telephones and relay calls as appropriate.

Answer call bells and assist residents in "no hands on" help and/or observe for safety of resident until CNA arrives.

Organize resident belonging (Ex.: clean and straighten drawers and closets.)

Set up linen for CNA's or make unoccupied beds.

Interact with residents - work in resident lounge/activities.

Pass meal trays.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be at least a senior in high school with a genuine interest in Health Care and have the physical ability to complete job duties.

Must pass pre-employment physical.
