As a warehouse clerk, you have a passion for great service and ensure the accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders, for our Barnes & Noble stores and dot com customers. You take pride in assuring orders are picked and packed correctly, taking care to minimize any quality issues. A warehouse clerk consistently meets or exceeds the daily production goals and is comfortable performing these duties in a warehouse environment and in accordance with our Core Values.
What you do:
โ€ข Adhere to all safety protocols and foster a safe work environment.
โ€ข Fill customer and store orders in a timely and accurate manner.
โ€ข Work on the warehouse floor in any area as needed, which includes regular lifting, pulling and pushing of 10lbs to 35lbs, with occasional 50lbs, and the ability to stand for long periods of time.
โ€ข Work with a sense of urgency and care, assuring individual and department daily production goals are met or exceeded.
โ€ข Follow all department best practices and procedures
โ€ข Work in various warehouse areas based on the needs of the business.
โ€ข Flexible with schedule required during peak season as business needs arise.
โ€ข Assist new hires and department transfers with any questions they may have in a friendly and approachable manner.
โ€ข Communicate any questions or concerns to all booksellers and members of management in a positive manner.
โ€ข Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Knowledge & Experience:
โ€ข Can multitask in a fast-paced environment.
โ€ข Demonstrate ability to work in a safe manner at all times.
โ€ข Possess basic written and verbal communication skills as well as mathematical skills.
โ€ข Is detailed and accurate.
โ€ข Prior warehouse experience is preferred.
